Now tell us what it sounds like man!!
Sorry to bore
I've got to be good at something.
I'll update about the sound later after a bit more settling down " that's just me "
The biggest hassle is getting all these famous musicians out of the house before bedtime.
It's a different world.

Congratulations Jim! I see your old Ekos is living on the edge. Maybe it feels abandoned...

Mikael,
The old Ekos is in mint condition has been with me since birth and never been modded or repaired only ever had two cartridges Troika then Krystal.
Is packed in its bed and desperate for a loving new owner.
Whoever gets it is getting a minter no marks on it.

Yes, very much so and I'm pleased I was able to resolve the problem for Jim once I had the necessary items in place to locate the problem by simple product substitution. Once set-up we found the problem easily (within 10 minutes actually) just as I would have done in the shop. Yes it was a first for me BTW, a very unusual problem, but the important thing is that it was quickly resolved (just over week).
So, what should have been a simple arm upgrade (I'd tested the arm fully in the shop prior to shipping it and then travelling to Jim's) turned out to be a bit more involved.... Hey, ho and everyone is happy!
For international trips however, I do carry far more spares to enable me to resolve most eventualities on the spot, but for Jim being relatively local who'd have thought it! Useful lesson IMHO.

You had a whole factory full of spares just down the road from Jim's.

Good one I can imagine us standing like kids in woollies eyeing up the Pik n Mix
I tried the sad face and obviously my system needs more metal for earthing and surely a Klimax cased Radikal would sort it but he couldn't hear me for the noise
All is superb now what amazing support and great service it Kant get any better that that.

Jim,
I'm still not convinced about the Klymax Radikal being that much better.
I will ask Peter to bring one with him when he's down next so i can have a listen in my system.
I will try it on its own and just on the Urika and just on the Radikal.
That way i can really hear what it brings to the party.

And a plane to catch 3 hours later mate. Plus the Motorway is horribly busy in the Glasgow direction - It wasn't viable. What was, was doing the job properly back at base, as Jim has indicated and then turning up with plenty of time to get everything just right for him. Flying in and out of Edinburgh made life much easier for Jim (the taxi man) easier!

Peter,
You didn't have to explain mate.
It was a meant in fun post.
I've had you getting off a plane on a Bank holiday Saturday late at night and driving a couple of hours across country to sort me out.
When you should of been heading straight up the motorway home after being away for over a week.
Thats one of the reasons why you have been my dealer and good friend for many years
.
Just catching up after a couple of days sans The Kabin and I was very pleased to read that you have sorted it all out Jim. Well Peter sorted it out but you know what I mean. Once your new Krystal starts to run in you will really get to know just what an upgrade your new arm will be. .............
